About PTA

Lake Ridge Elementary PTA is an association made up pf Pre-K-5th grade parents, teachers, administrators, and community members who work together to provide an exceptional experience and learning environment to help our scholars succeed. We support programs and events throughout the year as well as providing funding for programs and learning tools that enhance and enrich our children's experience in the classroom. 

Since 2006, our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has been involved and funded programs and events like:

  • Popcorn Friday
  • The Candy Shoppe (operated by 5th-grade scholars) 
  • Grandparent's Day 
  • Movie Nights 
  • Spring Dance
  • Muffin with Mom
  • Teacher Appreciation Week 
  • and more 
Our mission is to strive to support and advocate for our children by partnering with staff, families, and the wider community to create a safe and healthy learning environment where our scholars can excel and feel confident in themselves.

2020-21 is a very important year for Texas PTAs This is a legslative year and we need all members on board, but four executive board members cannot be the voice for 300+ families, we need you. If you are interested in joining or co-chairing a committee, please reach out to our PTA President. 

LREPTA Goals for 2020-2021

Together We Will:
  • Provide support for cultural and educational programs at Lake Ridge Elementary.
  • Promote social activities that heighten school spirit, encourage family togetherness, and promote humanitarian efforts within our community.
  • Increase interest, involvement, and understanding of our PTA business. Build awareness about the critical role of the PTA in helping our scholars reach their full potential .
  • Encourage and organize volunteer support for school and PTA programs and events. 
  • Conduct purposeful fundraising to support programs and events which align with our mission statement of encouraging students. 

Awards 

Texas PTA invited 2,540 PTAs in the state to grow our membership to equal 50% of the student enrollment. We accepted the challenge and worked hard throughout the year. We share this honor with 315 other PTAs in the state. 
Our PTA was recognized by the Texas PTA for welcoming 50% of our campus student enrollment. 
Beginning last fall, our PTA reached more than 100% of our previous year's total membership.
