Let’s face it—daily life for most of us looks radically different than it did last year. Virtual classrooms, working from home, video calls with doctors, limited social gatherings, and other public safety precautions have been implemented to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic across our country.
With so many aspects of our lives going digital, it’s more important than ever to do so in a way that’s safe, kind, and inclusive.
Safer Internet Day (Feb. 9, 2021) is an international education and awareness-raising effort, celebrated in over 100 countries. Led by Connect Safely in the United States, it’s a day to bring communities together to discuss challenges families face navigating the digital world and empowers them to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically, and creatively.
National PTA is proud to support the goals of Safer Internet Day by hosting an entire week of digital safety experiences February 8-12, 2021 to help PTAs and families create a safer, kinder, more inclusive online community together.
This interactive series will include something for everyone—PTA leaders, teachers and family members—including kids! You can attend all our sessions or pick the one that’s right for you.
Our world is more digital than ever before. #SaferInternetDay is a great time to reflect on what we’ve learned and what we want to do better.
National PTA is hosting an entire week of #digitalsafety events on Feb. 8-12.
